I am generally one of those people who is generally self motivated. However, there are times in life when even the most self-motivated people can use a little jump start. That said, I received that gentle nudge by a friend on the way into work while listening to how she had recently finished her book and was ready to publish. Sidenote: she too had recently encountered another author who, she said, was gracious enough to walk her through the enter publishing process. My mother passed away about approximately two years ago and during some of our last conversations, she would simply ask, “so when are you going to finish your book son?” I shared that story with my friend during that same conversion and decided in that moment, to stop merely talking about my breams and goals and to start actively pursuing them. This is blog, this site, and this particular post is a step in that direction. I have committed to myself to start pouring more into myself by making time for me to do the things that give me life. I have pleaded to stopping giving everyone else my best and allowing myself to settle for the rest (what’s left over). The simple truth is, we can’t be much good to others, if we haven’t first taken care of ourselves. I pray that this entry and this site will be a blessing to someone. Thanks for reading and stay tuned for more to come. B Blessed.
